Ben White (Emeritus Professor in the Department of  Rural Development, Environment and Population Studies at the ISS/ Erasmus University) is a celebrated Indonesia expert. He walks us through one of the most obscure periods in that country‚Äôs history. To this day, the killings of 1965-1966 are shrouded in secrecy and awkwardness.
