with artist Cody Healey-Conelly
The WUR community has played, is playing, and will play a critical role in tacking global environmental issues. The plastic soup, deforestation, waste disposal, sustainable living or global warming are just some challenges that the WUR community is engaged in helping to solve.
Artist Cody Healey- Conelly uses his artwork to encourage students and scientists to think in creative ways to solve humanity’s most pressing issues. Cody’s recent work makes use of a technique known as projection mapping which melds sculpture and video by projecting images on 3D objects. These sculptures can be useful in visualising solutions for our future. As the future is yet to come and largely depends on our actions, this is a call to action to shake out habitual ways of thinking to aide adaptability of cultures and ecosystems. After two months of inspiring conversations Cody will project videos that depict your ideas and future scenarios onto an immersive video installation.
Come and join us in this WUR’s first contact with Cody to engage with likeminded people in mind-blowing conversations, brainstorming sessions, and implementation plans.
We encourage the WUR community to get in touch with artists to exchange ideas of innovations that may seem radical now but could be feasible in the future.
