About Unveiling and Reprogramming - A Start to Anti-Racism

This year has been a re-awakening of sorts; first with the murder of George Floyd, then with the wave of Solidarity Protests, including the one here in Wageningen. It was an amazing feeling, to speak and share the field with so many and be as one!

That said, the world isn’t one, not yet. In this workshop we challenge you in an interactive way, highlighting your mental programming, raising the questions how stereotypes, discrimination and racism affect our thinking and daily lives.

Zennu van Kalmthout-Haile Michael

Zennu van Kalmthout-Haile Michael studied cross-cultural communication and social psychology and is currently working as a trainer, mediator and coach in this field. She grew up in a multicultural society where she spoke more than four languages. This, her eventual emigration to Europe and working as an optometrist in The Netherlands for 26 years, increased her interest to explore vision in terms of seeing, perceiving and realities. She is known for her engagements with (local) civil society and pushing for respect and equality, regardless of origin, culture, gender or language.
