Alumni event for Dutch engineers - Dublin, Ireland - 28 March 2019

Technology companies face philosophical and social challenges – ranging from disinformation to hate speech. The expertise on these issues lies with academics and researchers, but it remains a problem that much of this expertise fails to have an impact on the technology industry. Dr. Johnny Hartz Søraker left his job as Assistant Professor in the UT Department of Philosophy in 2017 for a new career as a Policy Specialist and Senior Strategist at Google, and shared perspectives at a special alumni event in Dublin on March 28th.
