Biomimicry is to emulate natural structures, abilities and processes to identify solutions with a minimal environmental impact. Designers would like to use biomimicry to increase sustainability in the fashion industry but there is a lack of knowledge. This ACT project aims to explore the relationship between biomimicry and fashion industry for applications in the field of fashion, textiles and design and possible improvements for future.
The ACT group consist of an interdisciplinary group of master students with backgrounds in Plant Biotechnology, Plant Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Management, Economics and Consumers studies.
