Plenty is possible nowadays using mobile technology and it could benefit your work in the field of nutrition significantly.
The aim of this seminar is to inform on and explore the latest developments in mobile technology for nutrition, including monitoring, evaluation and programme implementation. We will share knowledge and experiences on mobile technology for nutrition and will exercise and adopt the use of mobile devices for M&E purposes.
The Food and Nutrition Security Training programme of the Centre for Development Innovation, Wageningen UR organizes this seminar on mobile technology for Nutrition. The seminar is part of the course Monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment of food and nutrition security programmes, held between 19 May and 06 June 2014. This seminar is targeted at people working on nutrition in developing countries but is open to anyone interested in the topic within Wageningen UR.
The seminar will have two keynote speakers experienced in mobile technology. Mrs. Genevieve Audet-Belanger of the Royal Tropical Institute, will discuss about monitoring, evaluation and surveys using mobile technology. Mr Arjen Swank of Text to Change, will elaborate on the field experiences in Africa using mobile technology for health and Nutrition programmes.
In the second part of the seminar the participants will have the opportunity to take a closer look on how to set-up a survey using mobile technology and what is involved in the process of setting-up projects using mobile technology.
