Challenging principles for security: aid culture and risk in independent South Sudan

During this seminar I will explore how humanitarian actors approach insecurity in post-independence South Sudan. Against the backdrop of a radicalisation of aid as a form of governance, I will use two conflict arenas, Abyei and Jonglei, to analyse aid culture and the negotiation of risk.
