TU Munich's Dr. Katrin Hahn introduced the guests to the world of digitalisation of industry. The digitalisation of industry raises huge attention from companies, policy makers and researchers in order to foster economic growth and technological change. It is even claimed as “4th industrial revolution”. At the same time they were confronted with the concerns of digitalisation in society which, as a consequence, raised questions about how to design ‘high-tech with a human touch’. The key note discussed the need and opportunities in the extent of the discussion to the ongoing digitalisation in industry.
