FrieslandCampina is the biggest player in the Dutch dairy market. And it’s no wonder, given that they are originated from dairy cooperatives in the Netherlands. Millions of Dutch consumers eat and drink the products. Moreover, they export many of the dairy products from the Netherlands to countries on every continent of the world.

In the Netherlands FrieslandCampina processes milk into virtually everything that can be made with milk. This includes, of course, popular western consumer products like pasteurised milk, yoghurts and custards. And they also make consumer dairy products for export, such as condensed milk and milk powders. The Netherlands is FrieslandCampina’s primary location for the production of cheeses and butter products as well as a wide variety of ingredients used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. They make our fruit juices in the Netherlands as well. Each year, FrieslandCampina in the Netherlands processes a total of some 8.5 billion kilos of milk. Dutch consumers know us from our consumer brands Campina, Mona, Chocomel, Fristi, Milner and Optimel, among others.

FrieslandCampina’s head office is located in the central Dutch city of Amersfoort, where the staff services and various operating companies are situated. The Netherlands is also home to the important research centres in Wageningen and Deventer, among other locations. Around 7,500 people work in the production companies, research centres and offices in the Netherlands. There are some 14,500 FrieslandCampina member dairy farmers in the Netherlands. They supply the milk and are the joint owners of the FrieslandCampina company via the FrieslandCampina cooperative.
