The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands together with Wageningen University & Research (WUR) organised a Wageningen Alumni Meeting on 16 May 2018 at the Ambassador-Residence of the Czech Republic. The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Czech Republic, H.E. Kees J.R. Klompenhouwer, hosted this first alumni meeting of the Dutch Universities.
The Wageningen Alumni Meeting was organised on the occasion of this year’s celebration of the 100th anniversary of WUR. To commemorate the contributions of Wageningen to science and education, a number of scientific and societal events within the domains Life, Food and Earth will and have taken place all over the world. It offers students, staff and alumni the opportunity to reflect on past achievements and to be inspired by the future.
Alumni Meeting and reception
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Czech Republic, H.E. Kees J.R. Klompenhouwer, will host the first alumni meeting of the Dutch Universities at the Ambassador's Residence.
The meeting will be followed by a reception.
On this occasion, Delia de Vreeze, director University Fund Wageningen, will give a presentation titled '100 years Wageningen University & Research, from past to future'.
WUR Alumni Network Czech Republic
During this alumni meeting, the kick-off of the WUR Alumni Network in Czech Republic will take place during the official signing of the letter of intent. The purpose of the Alumni Network is to engage local Wageningen alumni in Czech Republic with each other and with WUR in organized efforts.
