Frontiers in Ecology: The Soil-Plant Interface

We denken zelden na over het leven onder onze voeten, en toch zijn we ervan afhankelijk voor het behoud van onze voedselproductie en gezondheid. Bovendien zijn interacties tussen bodem en planten een spannende speeltuin voor het ontdekken van nieuwe ecologische en evolutionaire interacties tussen de wereld boven en onder de grond. In dit symposium delen vijf gerenommeerde ecologen uit de hele wereld hun meest recente inzichten met u.

Set-up

The symposium consists of a morning session with lectures by international experts in the field of soil ecology. In the afternoon, a Masterclass is organized, in which PhDs and postdocs have the opportunity to interact with the experts. This Masterclass will contain 5 sessions of 30 minutes each. During each session speakers are asked to address two elements: 1) Research and scientific questions/issues raised by participants and 2) Career development and perspectives. Note that this Masterclass is only open for PhDs and postdocs, please indicate your interest in this Masterclass in the registration form below.
