Alumni meeting

Holland Alumni Receptions - Indonesia - 6-12 november 2018

More than 50 WUR alumni attended one of the four alumni events in Indonesia organised by Nuffic Neso in November 2018. We are proud that WUR alumus Mr. Ruandha Sugardiman, who is now a Director General of Climate Change at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, was one of the special guests at the event in Jakarta. He came with keynote speaker Mrs. Siti Nurbaya Bakar (Minister of Environment and Forestry - ITC Twente alumna). Also in Jakarta, WUR alumnus and board member of the Alumni Chapter Indonesia Mr. Bambang Suryokusumo was one of the members in the panel discussion on "How to develop a sustainable alumni community?"

The theme for this year’s Holland Alumni Reception was “Sustainable Communities for Circular Economy”. Achieving a Circular Economy requires interdisciplinary expertise, and the Holland Alumni Network is a vast community with members from very diverse academic backgrounds and professional expertise. The Holland Alumni Reception 2018 was a good opportunity for alumni to (re-)connect with fellow alumni, Dutch higher education institutions, and the corporate sector.
