Lecture and discussion Norm Circles: a Realist Solution to the Problem of Social Structure and Agency?

On Tuesday January 26th Dave Elder-Vass will give a lecture titled: Norm Circles: a Realist Solution to the Problem of Social Structure and Agency? in the Leeuwenborch, Room C075 (12.30-13.30). The Lecture is organized by the chair groups ENP and RHI in collaboration with WASS research school. After the lecture an in-depth discussion with Dave Elder-Vass will take place. After the lecture and the break there will be a second session in which there is room for some 20 people to have a discussion with Elder-Vass in more depth on the content of his lecture and his publications and your own ideas about structure and agency and how to apply them in research. This session will take place in room C78 of the Leeuwenborch. This will be of interest for PhD-researchers, Master students as well as for staff members with an interest in social theory. If you want to participate in this second session, we ask you to send an email to anton.schuurman@wur.nl. He will put you on the list of participants and send you a bibliography of Elder-Vass and a few articles.
