Director Threes Anna present
Rosa, a young Dutch woman, moves to Japan to work in a famous fish-restaurant. But her dream seems to become a nightmare. She is only allowed to clean fish, not to cook them. She finds it very hard to get into contact with her colleagues. And when she runs out of money she is forced to work in a nightclub. Silent City has a great, dreamy atmosphere, which reflects the sometimes almost unreal experience of living abroad.
After the screening we’ll have a Q&A with director Threes Anna. As a student Theatre Design she did an internship at a theatre-group in Tokyo. On this experience she based the novel and the movie Silent City.
