Join the E-conference on Sustainable Development Goals
In light of the celebration of 100 years Wageningen University & Research in 2018, WUR will be hosting the international conference “Towards zero hunger, creating partnerships for impact” in August 2018. The major challenges for the 21st century include feeding the growing world population with healthy diets in an inclusive manner while enhancing the ecological, economic, and social sustainability. WUR realizes that more concerted actions are required urgently to achieve the specific food, nutrition and sustainability targets in 2030.
To also engage with students in thinking about and creating local solutions to these global challenges, an e-conference by students for students will be organized as part of the conference. The ambition is to connect students of universities all over the world through the internet to discuss about and work on local problems related to Zero Hunger. The organization is looking for ambitious, engaged and above all enthusiastic students who are interested in joining the development and organization of this e-conference. We look forward to receiving students at our open information lunch at Impulse Wednesday September 13,from 12.30 to 13.30 hrs. Where more information will be given on the conference and we will have some speakers on the Development Goals as a kick-off.
