On Tuesday 23 June at 20.00 hrs you are invited to join female alumni in London for the online kick-off event for "Women in Innovation UK". The event includes updates from the universities and a borrel for our DEAN community in the UK.
This event is organised to announce the kick-off of the new network "Women in Innovation UK". This network is started by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Dutch technical universities DEAN (Dutch Engineers Alumni Network) together with a group of female alumni volunteers living in the UK.
This Women in Innovation Network will provide knowledge and information on the latest innovation, technology and science developments in both our countries and connects women with a similar background, in comparable jobs or work environment and with the same state of mind.
The goals of the network are determined by the network itself. Besides sharing knowledge and giving inspiration we think of topics like job advice, mentoring and empowering each other.
Join the online kick-off of this network
The interactive evening programme includes brief updates from the universities, followed by a short talk by TU Delft alumna Carin Campanario (Industrial Design Engineering).
Our gathering concludes with a virtual borrel (BYOB) where you and fellow female alumni living in the UK will be mixed with each other to maximize interactions and stimulate conversations! Make sure to also bring some snacks and drinks for the borrel!
Please join our Slack group to stay connected and get the most out of this network. As this network is still starting up, don't hesitate to share your ideas about how we could build this network and make it as strong as possible.
Questions? Comments? Suggestions? Please feel free to reach out!
Stay safe, stay healthy and we hope to see many of you on Tuesday 23 June.
Carin obtained her Master in IDE and is UX Designer at TUI. She always automatically considers the 4 pillars of IDE and applies IDE's approach in everything she does. Carin will talk about the innovation challenges that she encountered during her 'TUI Voice Strategy' project for travel giant TUI (for which she created, launched, and trialed 3 Amazon Alexa skills), and about how she tackels the challenges during this process.
To join this event register via the orange button on the right side of this page. Please note that we have a maximum capacity of 100 participants for this activity – if necessary a waiting list will be created. All registrations are taken care of by TU Delft.
Please also complete the form if you are unable to participate but would still like to be a part of the Women in Innovation UK network.
