Seminar

Postponed: Seminar Research facilities consumer behaviour to early 2019

Healthy food choice behaviour by today’s consumer is studied by several research groups at Wageningen University & Research (WUR), using different types of research equipment and facilities. In this seminar organised by Shared Research Facilities (SRF), the focus will be on the consumer research facilities at WUR. This seminar is centred on how the facilities and the experts involved can help you in understanding consumer behaviour in your own research.

The division of Human Nutrition and Health (HNE) studies people's eating behaviour and the effects of dietary intake on human health. Their Health Research Unit and Laboratories includes facilities like the SRF’s 3T MRI scanner with dedicated food research stimuli (located at Ziekenhuis Gelderse Vallei in Ede), and it simulation scanner on Wageningen Campus. The Consumer Understanding group of WUR measures why and how consumers appreciate foods and their behaviour during and following purchasing. During this seminar, both research groups will give a short introduction into their areas of expertise and how (understanding) consumer behaviour can affect your own research, followed by a visit to various research facilities.
