The polymer-chemist Herman Feil has a lot of experience in developing ideas in both academic and commercial spaces. He is known as a centipede in the agri-business. Nowadays he works in ‘ Tournios dynamic innovations’ where they incubate ideas to start-ups. With TDI he co-developed the vegetarian meat for Ojah (sold by the ‘Vegetarische slager’ ).
Designer Mike Thompson and his colleague Susana Cámara Leret run the Art&Design practice ‘Thought Collider’ in Amsterdam. Their art installations and design projects grab the attention as a result of their creative, philosophical, multidisciplinary and science based approach. Mike will give insights into how he bridges the gap between creative playfulness and lab-discipline. Moreover, he will tell about his experiences in teaming-up with academics and companies.
