What can you do with 3D printing? Probably more than you think. In research, you can use it for example for easy and cheap printing of objects that are designed to your needs, which may be very difficult and expensive to fabricate with conventional techniques. For example specific plates for plant seeds and covers for sensors.
Also you can use 3D printing for fast fabrication of prototypes. In 3D printing you can make use of a growing number of materials: plastics, rubber and metals such as aluminium, steel and titanium.
During the presentation examples are shown of applications of 3D printing in research. Also the locations on Wageningen Campus will be presented that offer printing: currently there are 3 locations with 3D printers, and in 2016 already 4!
Overall, it is a seminar that cannot be missed!
The seminar is organised by the Ontwikkelwerkplaats, Tupola, Phenovation and FabLab in collaboration with CAT-AgroFood Shared Research Facilities.
Everyone from Wageningen UR and other organisations are welcome to join the seminar.
