PTR-QiTOF can be used to analyses volatile organic compounds (VOCs), fast and on line. Applications range from fast characterization of unknown compounds, diagnosis of food fraud, analyzing aroma profiles of fresh, stored and processed products and analysing VOC from ex-hailed breath or nasal cavity. The high sensitivity and high accuracy makes that many VOC can be detected and characterized, based on the precise masses determined by the PTR-QiTOF.
