On the 24th of May the yearly Spring Congress of the Applied Mathematics Institute of the 4 Technical Universities (4TU) takes place in Wageningen. This year’s theme is “Mathematics for Health Purposes”.
After an opening speech by the rector, Arthur Mol, the keynote of this year’s meeting will be given by Wageningen’s former PhD student David Lentink from Stanford University, who will talk on “Aviation Inspired Design”. His lecture will be followed by three sets of presentations by a staff member of one of the leading hospitals and a staff member of one of the technical universities. In their presentations they will give insight in research and applications of mathematics for health purposes, from their own perspectives.
