Thu 24 August: Next PhD discussion meeting on Agriculture-Climate-Forests-Food
We would like to invite you to the next Agriculture–Climate-Forests-Food PhD discussion group meeting. Justine Ngoma (Water Systems and Global Change) will give a presentation titled "Below and above-ground carbon distribution along a rainfall gradient. A case of the Zambezi teak forests, Zambia".
Justine will present the results of one of her PhD chapters that focuses on models for estimating above and below-ground biomass. The implications of the projected decrease in rainfall for the climate change mitigation potential of the Zambezi teak forests will be discussed.
The presentation will be followed by a discussion with the group on:
What could be the reasons for the reduced carbon fraction at the intermediate Namwala site?
