Lecture and workshop about UN's sustainable development goals

UN's sustainable development goals, lecture and workshop

Orion, 19:00 to 21:00 - This is a combination of a lecture and workshop about the sustainable development goals. First we would like to talk about what Unicef and the WUR are doing with those goals. We have invited the UN youth representative of the NL (Martijn Visser) to tell something about what he does for the UN. We have invited a professor of the WUR who is involved in the SDGs to give a small lecture about it.

So the participants can hear the reason behind topics (related to SDGs) they learn at university and it creates teacher - student involvement. We will have a discussion and let the participants think about the SDGs and how they contribute to those goals, by making small discussion groups and let people think about e.g. the following questions: what am I doing to contribute to the SDGs? How do I fit into those goals? What is the most important topic of the SDG’s? And why?
