WURtalks: How Sustainable Development Goals affect research and vice versa!

The SDGs are generally acknowledged as major challenges that need to be addressed jointly. While SDGs will impact the research, research will also impact the SDGs. Both angles will be presented by Dr Huub Löffler of CDI and Dr Lawrence Jones-Walters of WENR respectively. How will you contribute?

WURtalks are lecture evenings where gifted storytellers from Wageningen University & Research give inspiring lectures. The WURtalks are for all students and employees of WUR and other interested people. After the lecture you’re invited for a dialogue with the other visitors and scientists.

How Sustainable Development Goals affect research and vice versa!

Next to the current hot topic circular biobased economy, research is also influenced by the UN Sustainble Development Goals. The SDGs are generally acknowledged as major challenges that need to be addressed jointly. While SDGs will impact the research, research will also impact the SDGs. The interdependency of the SDGs calls for a system approach, rather than a focus on single goals. Both interdependency angles will be presented in the upcoming WURtalks on Tuesday evening September 25 by Dr Löffler and Dr Jones-Walters respectively.
