Whale strandings

I investigate stranded whales in order to find the impact of human activities on the sea.

Prepare yourself for my talk by reading this story about stranded whales (in Dutch).

Tropical marine biodiversity

A key question of my research is how communities of species adapt in response to environmental change over ecological and evolutionary timescales.

I was recently elected to join the prestigious Young Academy.

What are WURtalks?

WURtalks are lecture evenings where gifted storytellers from Wageningen University & Research give inspiring lectures. The WURtalks are for all students and employees of WUR and other interested people. After the lecture you’re invited for a dialogue with the other visitors and scientists.
