Last year, some of our staff members together with the Indonesian PhDs in Wageningen University initiated the Wageningen Indonesian Scientific Exposure (WISE). WISE was created to be a platform for all Indonesian PhD candidates studying at Wageningen University & Research to share their research results and ideas in a broader community.
WISE 2017 aims to show the scope and depth of the research done at Wageningen University & Research and provides a platform that connects representatives from the home institutions of our Indonesian PhD students, their supervisor in Wageningen, and other people who are interested. WISE 2017 enables the exploration of the links between different research projects and generation of ideas for future collaboration opportunities, which will result in an even more sustainable research relation between Wageningen University & Research and Indonesia.
The event is open for the Wageningen PhD students from Indonesia, representatives from their home institutions and other Indonesian representatives, Wageningen supervisors and other interested staff members, PhD students and MSc students.
WISE 2017 will focus on a wide range of topics from the different graduate schools: agro technology, food sciences, animal sciences, environmental sciences, plant sciences and social sciences. Indonesian PhDs at Wageningen University, which amount to more than 60 students, will present their work either through oral or poster presentation. The programme will also include tours to our facilities and focus group discussions with research groups in Wageningen University & Research.
Keynote speakers are:
