In order to stay competitive on the legal job market, the increasing trend to integrate science into regulation requires lawyers to add specific scientific knowledge to their legal skills or legal knowledge to food technologists. This course is tailored to accompany especially these needs.

To be announced.

What to Expect

During the Winter school you will have the opportunity to take a closer look at the regulations governing food. You will be introduced to the basic principles of European food safety policy such as the “farm to fork” approach.

During these 5 days you will have an intensive programme. Daily lectures and workshops by internationally recognised leading experts in the field ensure provision of in-depth analysis on core issues on food regulation, such as European Food Law, American Food Law, Food Law and Economics etc. The week will also include lectures on Food Hazards, Private Standards and other (non-)regulated areas, such as religious aspects. Special emphasis will be given to team- working tasks where participants will work together to solve a problem using law and food technology sources.

  • To have good command of English;
  • To attend all lectures and activities, because you will definitely learn a lot!
  • To read the study materials in advance, so you will be prepared for the lectures.
