Workshop on Monitoring Forest Dynamics from Remote Sensing

To monitor change dynamics in forest ecosystems, there is need for quality satellite data and dedicated studies to underpin policies and forest management objectives. Improved monitoring services are being developed, which are able to record, quantify and map structural changes in forest ecosystems and their functioning across the globe. In this context, Earth observation can provide a substantial amount of historic as well as up-to-date information at a local-to-global scale. In this workshop examples from different perspectives will be presented.
