Jimmy Glasmacher werd geboren in Bogor, Indonesië. Als tienjarige ging hij al op tournee met zijn familieband ‘The Jargoons’ waarbij hij optrad in Duitsland en Nederland. Sindsdien heeft Jimmy met verschillende Amerikaanse en Nederlandse artiesten gewerkt, waaronder Boysie White (vocals: in the musical Hair / The Harlem Gospel Singers), Andy Suzuki (saxofoon: Al Jarreau / Tower of Power hornsection), Jan Akkerman, Trijntje Oosterhuis en Candy Dulfer.
