Seminar high-speed cameras in research: Speedy creatures and scattering crumbs

Interested in a world you've never seen before?
In the rapid and tiny aspects of every-day life you've never noticed?
Like breaking crackers? Flying mosquitos? Pesticide droplets? Fish swimming in near darkness?
These and many more processes show rapid transitions with great speed. Up to now you only noticed the final effect of the transition and could not observe these processes in great detail in time.

Recently, Wageningen University & Research, Shared Research Facilities (CAT-AgroFood) invested in 2 different high-speed camera setups (3D and high-intensity), which offer the possibility to investigate these and many more processes of change in great detail.  

Lectures will introduce the possibilities and first scientific results, followed by a short live demonstration of the cameras.
