A monastery on the top of Mount Rigi, Switzerland. A group of monks, experienced Zen practitioners, take magic mushrooms for the first time in their lives.
What will happen? And what can the experiences of the monks teach us about the essence of mystical experience?
The movie is more than the report on an experiment. Director Maartje Nevejan took great care to find a visual language for inner life, re-inventing the iconic visual language of the 60’s to evoke a psychedelic experience.
