Wageningen University & Research is looking for a MSc student who will study the threats for sea turtle foraging and nesting habitats in the Dutch Caribbean. Is the current policy adequate to protect these habitats?
Compiling data on locations and density of foraging and nesting grounds of sea turtles, including migration routes of the turtles, and published threats. The student will produce a map based on the compiled data. Analysis of the Nature Policy Plan of the Dutch Caribbean will provide assessment of knowledge gaps. The student should have basic knowledge and skills of arcGIS or qGIS.
