AgriProFocus is a multi-stakeholder network, with 34 Dutch member organisations, in the agri-food sector consisting of farmer entrepreneurs, private sector, governments, knowledge institutions (including Wageningen University & Research) and civil society organisations. Active in 13 countries in Africa and South-East Asia, and linking 24.000 agribusiness professionals worldwide, we are the go-to network for farmer entrepreneurs in agricultural value chains. Our network wants to make agribusiness work for development, to achieve that we (the support office) offer linking, learning and leadership services to our members.
A network is all about communication!
In all the countries where we work enthusiastic (local) colleagues build our network, offline as well as online. Together with our members we organise programmes and activities like agribusiness fairs, youth in agribusiness roadshows, trade missions and other network events. Online we run an agribusiness platform (www.agriprofocus.com) where 24.000 people interact and share knowledge and expertise. Within our network approach we give as much visibility as possible to our members through social media and other channels.
All our country offices are welcoming interns for a period of 4 to 6 months, who are willing to learn, share and contribute to our network. We always have interesting short term programs or projects where you can actively be involved in, for example in the field of: inclusive business (youth and gender), nutrition sensitive agriculture or climate smart agriculture.
We are active in Benin, Burundi, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Kenya, Mali, Myanmar, Niger, Congo, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. Our offices are mostly located in the capital of the country.
