The ‘low-carb/high-fat’ diet, paleo diet, vegan diet, Mediterranean diet. Theses are a few examples of (new) nutritional hypes nowadays.
Science is often unclear about the effects of the nutritional hypes on people’s health, and sometimes even about their effect on the environment. Still, a number of people are experimenting and following such diets.
This raises a lot of questions: What is their motivation to choose one of these diets? In what way does it help them and why? What is their experience? What barriers or facilitators do they come across whilst following such diets in their daily life?
