Thesis topics Henk Oostindie

My research activities focus on agricultural, rural and rural-urban dynamics and processes of change. It covers a range of issues such as diversifying farming styles, -strategies and development pathways, multifunctional rural business models, futures of family based-farming, rural differentiation processes, multi-level governance and contemporary co-existence and co-evolution of contrasting sustainability paradigms.

I teach in several bachelor and master courses (e.g. Integrated Natural Resource Management, Biosystems and Society) and participated in European research projects as CAMAR, IMPACT, MULT-AGRI, ETUDE, RUDY, GLAMUR and – at this moment- TRANSMANGO.
