On October 17, the day after the Harnessing Research and Innovation for FOOD2030 congress there will be a workshop in Brussels. This will be led by a team of experts from various European Universities and Institutions. We will highlight and demonstrate the urgency of increasing global agricultural productivity for the purpose of worldwide food security and to allow the transition from a fossil economy to a sustainable bioeconomy.
We will present Photosynthesis 2.0, an initiative for a very large scale 10-year research programme we propose to launch at the onset of the 9th Framework Programme (2020). This will harness European expertise in the plant sciences in pursuit of our goal of doubling crop yields by 2050. We invite you to join us, supporting and fostering our programme.
More information will follow soon.
