MSc student Food Technology Miguel Leon Solorzano has received financial support from the Wageningen University Fund so he could participate in the 22nd International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) Symposium in Shanghai, China. At this symposium, Miguel presented the results of his MSc thesis.
‘I was given 15 minutes to present my main results. Then there were 10 minutes for questions from the audience. At my session, about 25 interested persons were present, consisting of students, professors, researchers, and people working in the private and public sector. I received compliments from my supervisor for my presentation, and also from people in the audience.’
Besides presenting his own work, Miguel attended several other presentations and visited the career fair that was held. At this fair, various companies presented the job opportunities they offer for future graduates.
‘During both days of the symposium there were opportunities to network with other students, professors, and people working in the private and public sector. I want to thank the Wageningen University Fund for the opportunity to participate in the symposium. Due to financial constraints I would not have been able to attend the symposium without the support from the Fund. Thank you very much!
