Every year, elections are held for the Teacher of the Year award to acknowledge the outstanding teachers we have at Wageningen University. The jury that decides on the winner of this award consists of an international team of students – and this is your chance to be a part of it!
We are looking for a diverse group of students (3rd-year student or up) that are motivated and passionate about education at our university. Jury members should be available for an introduction meeting prior to the election period that runs from October 29th until November 7th 2014. During the election period you should be available for promotional activities, such as flyering during lunch breaks and hanging up posters throughout Wageningen. In the period from the end of November until mid-December you will interview the elected teachers and write reports on these interviews (workload approx. 4 hours per week). In December the final election meeting takes place, in which the jury discusses the outcomes of the elections and ultimately chooses the nominees and winner.
In addition, we are looking for a President of the jury. Activities include: presiding the jury meetings, planning the interviews with the elected teachers, reviewing and combining the interview reports, and writing the jury report, judicia, and press releases (workload October-December approx. 4 hours per week). You will also hold a speech about the elections at the award ceremony.
Would you like to be a part of this prestigious award? Send your application letter (include the name of your study program and your year) and CV before the 21st of September to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
