Last week the 1st extensive training of the Sino-Dutch Dairy Development Center (SDDDC) in Beijng took place.
SDDDC is a collaboration between Dutch dairy company Royal FrieslandCampina, China Agricultural University (CAU), Wageningen UR and other partners. The focus of this collaboration is on improving dairy production, safety and quality levels throughout the entire dairy chain in China by sharing Dutch dairy expertise with Chinese experts and decision makers in dairy research and the dairy industry.
This first training focused on Milk Quality & Safety aspects was attended by 25 participants from the Chinese dairy chain sector. The role of course leader was fullfilled by Toon van Hooijdonk and the following teachers shared their knowledge: Kees de Koning, Saskia van Ruth, Kasper Hettinga and Jeroen Heck (Royal FrieslandCampina). In 2016 SDDDC will organise multiple more extensive training programme’s. Wageningen Academy is responsible for the development and organisation of these training programme’s.
