All the way back in 1964, Professor Anne van den Ban started the department of Extension Education, which was later named Communication and Innovation Studies.
Currently, communication science is a vital part of the CPT cluster, consisting of the Philosophy Group (Marcel Verweij), the Knowledge, Technology and Innovation Group (Cees Leeuwis) and the Strategic Communication Group (Peter Feindt).
Our year of festivities was kicked off during the Etmaal conference in February this year. Scientists from all over the Netherlands and Flanders traveled to Wageningen to present their work and engage in lively discussions on the state of the art in communication science.
