A special issue of the journal Environment and Development Economics on the impacts and acceptance of agricultural biotechnology has been published. The editors are David Zilberman and Justus Wesseler. The special issue aims to address several gaps in the literature on genetically modified (GM) technology in agriculture. Papers in the issue address the economic and health aspects of genetic modification in agriculture, examine consumers’ attitudes towards GM products, and the marketing and labelling of GM products.
