In January 2015, dr. Thomas Schonewille received a part-time professorship at Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI) in Thailand. This professorship is a credit to his hard work over the past 10 years and an important step to further strengthen the scientific collaboration between RMUTI and the Centre of Animal Nutrition as intended (LOI).

The part-time professorship will be executed at de Department of Agricultural Technology and Environment, Faculty of Sciences and Liberal Arts, located at the Korat campus of RMUTI. Thomas Schonewille will supervise graduate students and assist the faculty members in the process of obtaining grants and the preparation of scientific papers to be published in peer-reviewed journals. In this respect, Thomas Schonewille was invited by RMUTI to provide education on this topic. The course was held in January 2015 and could be considered as a follow up of the course that was held in April 2012. Participants were university staff members from the five campuses of RMUTI. During this course, the various stages of the writing process were practised with the focus on the introduction and the discussion sections of a paper. The course was well attended and highly appreciated by the participants. The evaluation of the course also learned that there is a need to further develop the knowledge in applied statistical analyses.
