The Library is working on an ambitious project, the Wageningen Bibliography. The Wageningen Bibliography collects and digitises the scientific output of Wageningen UR and its predecessors, such as the Centre for Agricultural Research (CELOS) in Surinam.
The Wageningen Bibliography has digitised 140 reports and 25 bulletins of the Centre for Agricultural Research (CELOS) in Surinam. These reports range from 1961 to 1984 and cover the subjects of forestry, farm management and rice production. All reports are Open Access. Wageningen UR and its predecessor, the Landbouwhogeschool, have been collaborating with CELOS for many years.
Through the Wageningen Bibliography, the Library is collecting and digitising the scientific output of Wageningen UR and its predecessors. Why are we doing this?
- Historical material is still relevant for current scientific practice
- Digitisation is a good way to efficiently preserve heritage
- Digitisation provides the opportunity to better highlight and disseminate Wageningen’s output.
