The worries about the negative side-effects of intensive animal husbandry in the Netherlands are not recent. Nevertheless not much is changing. At the moment the Netherlands is trying to define its policies regarding climate change mitigation. The Dutch newspaper Volkskrant published an opinion piece on this, co-authored by Paul Struik and signed by 28 professors.
