Bibliographic databases reviewed

In July, August and September Wageningen UR Library is reviewing its bibliographic database collection. Do you prefer one database over another? Please let us know.

Do you always use Scopus, Web of Science or Google Scholar to find scientific literature? The library subscribes to 700 bibliographic databases. Some of them are multidisciplinary, but many are thematic, such as Biological Abstracts, ABI/Inform for management studies and CAB Abstracts for agricultural subjects.

While we have many thematic databases, their use has been steadily decreasing. To understand why, we’ve decided to evaluate different aspects of  our thematic databases, such as content, thesaurus availability and user friendliness.

Please let us know which bibliographic database is your favourite and why. Does it cover all the literature you need for your research and is it easy to use? Do you use a database the Library doesn't subscribe to? Your opinion matters!
