Scopus, Elsevier’s ‘all science’ bibliography, has quickly developed into the most consulted database in the Wageningen UR Digital Library. Wageningen UR Library has been involved in the development of Scopus since its inception and is part of an international group Development Partners. Not only information specialists from the Library but also many scientists have been involved in user tests and interviews.
In addition to the collaboration on the user interface, Elsevier also uses an international network of library employees and researchers to develop the content of Scopus. This group directly influences the selection policy and the journal coverage in Scopus. Wageningen UR Library is a member of the Content Selection Advisory Board and is also Subject Chair for the field of Agriculture and Biology. The Library’s influence is in the interest of our digital library users.
