Following a successful data management pilot in 2015 concerning a number of calls, NWO has introduced a new requirement: all applicants must include a data management paragraph in their grant applications from October 2016.
The data management paragraph contains a few short questions that must be answered to specify what data will be generated, how the data will be stored in a sustainable way, and how the data will be made accessible. This paragraph is not one of the criteria against which proposals will be evaluated, but successful applicants will be requested to develop a full data management plan and to maintain this plan during their project's life cycle. Data management costs are eligible for funding. More information can be found here.
