Are you or your company looking for opportunities in Mozambican agriculture and agri-business? Come and discover Mozambique!

On July 3rd Agri-ProFocus, in collaboration with the Zambezi Valley Development Agency (ZVDA), the Netherlands Embassies in Maputo and Pretoria, RVO and the Centre for Development Innovation, Wageningen UR, will organise the agri-business event: Discover Mozambique!

We will present and discuss the opportunities for Dutch entrepreneurs in Mozambican agriculture and agri-business and business support structures in place. Facts about agri-business potential will be shared as well as experiences from 3 managers of agri-businesses in Mozambique.

Why Mozambique?

  • Mozambique’s economy is one of the most dynamic on the African continent, with a 7% rate of GDP in 2013, and equal growth prospects for 2014/2015. The agriculture sector is growing at 5% (2013) and is the second largest contributor to GDP growth.
  • Recent market scans point to opportunities in the Zambezi Valley and Beira Corridor in potatoes, aquaculture, horticulture, poultry and dairy.
  • More and more Dutch companies are opening offices in Maputo, which is reflected by the start in last May of monthly network meetings of the Dutch Business Club Mozambique.

The event will take place on Thursday July 3 from 18.30-21.30 hrs in The Hague. This event is on invitation only, if you are interested to take part and want more detailed information on the program, please contact:
