Dutch Dairy Experience

On 7 July, a successful edition of the Dutch Dairy Experience took place, in which a group of Chinese Dairy Professionals learned about the Dutch Dairy Chain. The programme lasts for one week and is organized for at least 4 times a year, as part of the Sino Dutch Dairy Development Centre.

The 'Wageningen Dutch Dairy Experience'

Part of this week is organized by Wageningen University & Research, including a visit to the Dairy Campus and a visit to the Wageningen Campus. The Campus programme is organized together with FrieslandCampina Innovation Centre and highlights the main interesting departments related to the SDDDC cooperation. The Campus programme included a welcome, case study Dioxins and a lecture regarding agrotechnology and food sciences. Lunch at the Restaurant of the Future and a dinner completed the programme.

The participants were very interested in the several expertise’s, which was shown by the number of interesting questions during the programme. A recurring hot topic for the Chinese Dairy industry is the difference in Pasteurised and Sterilised Milk, which led to very interesting discussions.

According to the enthusiastic feedback of the participants, it was an interesting day and we are looking forward to the next edition.
