ECsens, a spin-off co-founded by Organic Chemistry PhD
candidate Pepijn Beekman and his with University of Twente collaborator dr. Dilu Mathew, won the University of Twente Entrepreneurial Challenge 2019.
Together, they battled over 30 other contestants in the
"Prototyping" category during the final event on June 20, culminating a journey started in February. Since the first edition in 2017, every year the UT Entrepreneurial Challenge offers the opportunity to further develop ingenious ideas, prototypes and research projects to Minimal Viable Products and business plans. ECsens won €4350 and a Wildcard to the 4TU Impact Finals
where they will compete against other technical universities, including the WUR.
Way to go, Pepijn - this is innovation with a capital I!
